Moving Home

If you are moving out, you have to terminate your electricity supply contract. In other words, you have to submit to PPC a request for service disconnection so that no more bills are issued in your name, or else PPC will continue issuing bills in your name for which you will be held liable. Once your electric service has been disconnected the final bill is issued based on the consumption made until the day of contract termination, minus the down payment against consumption made on the day you signed the contract.

The procedure described above may be performed by any duly authorized person, provided that he/she presents to PPC:

  • The power of attorney
  • His/her identity card
  • A recent electric bill or the property's supply number

If the property you are moving in already has electrical power, you will have to sign a new Power Supply Contract, so that the bills are issued in your name. For signing a new Power Supply Contract you will need:

  • A recent electric bill or the property's supply number
  • Your identity card
  • Your Tax Identification Number
  • A new Sworn Statement of a licensed Electrical Installer, if the old one is no longer valid, in compliance with the Regulation on Internal Electrical Installations.

When signing a new power supply contract, you will have to pay an amount of money against consumption. This amount is calculated on the basis of the surface of the property (in square meters) and the type of the requested service.

For further information regarding whether you will have to submit a new Sworn Statement of an Electrical Installer, as well as with regard to the amount of money you will have to pay as down payment against consumption, please dial the number figuring on the back of your bill, in the section "Information". By simply giving the supply number of the property (see the back of your bill, section "Supply Number") you will get all relevant information.

The procedure described above may be performed by any duly authorized person, provided that he/she presents to PPC:

  • The power of attorney
  • His/her identity card
  • A recent electric bill or the supply number of the property.
